Mindanao Star Bus pledges to maintain quality public transport amid pandemic

Mindanao Star Bus Transport Inc. said over the weekend that it remained committed to providing quality public transport in the region amid the challenges posed by the global pandemic.

Leo Rey Yanson, who was re-elected chairman and chairman at the company’s January 15 shareholders’ meeting, said that despite the challenges faced in 2021, MSBTI remained strong and resilient.

“He continues to be unwavering in his goal of serving the Filipino people. MSBTI remains committed to providing the constituency public with the most reliable form of public transportation for all,” he said.

The company said at the annual meeting, Olivia Yanson, Leo Rey Yanson, Ginnette Yanson Dumancas, Charles Dumancas, Rey Ardo and Arvin John Villaruel were re-elected as board members.

The board also held an organizational meeting at which Leo Rey Yanson was reappointed Chairman of the Board and President of MSBTI and Olivia Yanson as Corporate Secretary and Treasurer.

Olivia was appointed last year by a Bacolod court to be the special administrator for the estate of her late husband Ricardo Yanson.

The newly reappointed board said it was excited to see how it could continue to push the boundaries to provide quality transportation to every Filipino despite the challenges of the pandemic.

Mindanao Star Bus is a public transport company that serves major routes in Mindanao.
