KP’s tourism projects get an overwhelming response
PESHAWAR: Investors showed strong interest in investing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa tourism sector projects at the Dubai Expo on Tuesday.
Entitled Tourism Week, organizers presented a number of projects to investors at tourism investment conferences, according to a statement received here. Four Letters of Investment Intent have been signed as a number of international and Dubai-based investors have expressed their willingness to invest in various projects in KP’s tourism sector.

Speaking at the inaugural investment conference, KP secretary for sports, tourism, archeology, culture, museums and youth, Amir Sultan Tareen, said there is a vast potential for investment in the tourism sector in the province.
The Director General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) Kamran Ahmad Afridi, the DG Pakistan Trade Development Authority Rizwan Tariq, the Director General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BOIT) Hassan Daud Butt and others were also present on occasion.
The secretary briefed the participants on investment opportunities in the tourism sector of KP, especially in integrated tourism areas. He said investors would benefit from facilities and incentives through one-stop-shop operations and land to boost public-private partnership in tourism.
DG Kamran Afridi said that a one-stop-shop has been established under the KPCTA and is fully operational to facilitate investors in the KP tourism sector.
