COMPENSATION: $2,034.85 to $2,238.34 fortnightly.

Actual salary to be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. Beach side/Cocoa Beach. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs experienced professional work supporting operational functions within the Tourism Development Office (TDO).

The job is to manage the operations of visitor services in the community. In addition, this classification will provide operational support to other programs and projects within the Tourism Development Board, including special beach and park restoration projects, capital projects and the multiple grants that support these and other tourism-related projects, programs and initiatives. . Supervision is entrusted to office staff.

TERMS: Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or closely related field PLUS four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the travel industry, tourism or related field tightly bound in a medium to large organization.

Additional qualifying training and/or experience may be replaced from year to year. Experience writing and overseeing grants is preferred.

SPECIAL NEEDS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license for duration of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
