Dubai RTA calls on Ericsson to transform public transport system
Global hotel company IHG Hotels and Resorts has announced that it has signed a management agreement with The Red Sea Development Company, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, to open the InterContinental Resort Red Sea in the Kingdom. Located in the upscale Red Sea development destination, the new InterContinental complex is expected to open during Phase 1 of the Red Sea project development. Activity for the first phase of development is on track and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

The announcement comes during InterContinental Hotels and Resorts’ diamond anniversary celebrations, marking 75 years of luxury travel with a celebration of a rich heritage, iconic hotels and exclusive experiences.
Located in one of the world’s most ambitious luxury tourism developments amid an archipelago of over 90 pristine islands, the InterContinental Resort Red Sea will offer guests breathtaking views of the desert and spectacular mountain scenery.
Each of the resort’s 210 oceanfront rooms will offer immediate beach access, allowing guests to step out onto the sands of the Red Sea from the terrace. In addition, the resort will offer seven different dining experiences, expansive swimming pools and leisure facilities, a spa, health club, and meeting and event spaces for business travelers and groups.

In addition to The Red Sea Development, PIF is developing several gigaprojects across Saudi Arabia including Qiddiya, Amaala, Riyadh Central, Diriyah Gate, Jeddah Downtown, Rua Al-Haram, Rua Al-Madinah, Al-Ula, NEOM and King Abdullah Financial Quartier.
IHG currently operates 37 hotels in Saudi Arabia through five brands, including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites and Voco. 23 other hotels are under development and should open within three to five years.
