Representatives of non-governmental organizations and professional chambers, chiefs and many citizens accompanied the ceremony. During this ceremony, the Turkish national manufacturer delivered 67 8-meter Karsan Atak buses to the Metropolitan Municipality of Mersin.
In accordance with the historical texture and architecture of the city, the Metropolitan Municipality of Mersin, with the contribution of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, opened the tender for the purchase of vehicles from a value of 21.9 million euros in order to use more environmentally friendly buses. . kazanKarsan aims to deliver a total of 84 Menarinibus Citymood CNG buses, including 12 of 34 meters and 18 of 118 meters, by the end of the year. 67 8-meter Karsan Atak buses and 118 Menarinibus Citymood CNG buses were to be delivered under the tender. After the delivery of the first bus, Karsan aims to increase the total number of vehicles serving Mersin to 272.

In addition to the 87 CNG Citymood buses that were already delivered to Mersin Municipality last year, Karsan will offer a total of 205 CNG Citymood buses for use by residents of Mersin, with deliveries to be completed this year. With 67 8-meter Atak buses delivered to Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, the total number of Karsan vehicles serving Mersin will increase to 272. Thus, Turkey’s youngest bus fleet will start operating in Mersin with Karsan.
