Arunachal: the governor meets young tourism promoters

ITANAGAR- The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) BD Mishra (retired) met a team led by Jimu Mele of Idu Mishmi youth from Dibang Valley who promote tourism and visit Emudu Seven Lakes in Dibang Valley, Raj Bhavan, Itanagar, the November 22, 2021. The team was joined by Taba Ajum, senior journalist and passionate about trekking.

The Governor congratulated the young people for their entrepreneurship in tourism. He said the tourism sector in Arunachal Pradesh has huge potential for “start-up” projects. If properly operated, these enterprises have great potential for public employment and work.

Impressed by the team’s spirit of self-employment and employment, the governor said young people in the state must emulate them.

The governor advised young people to identify attractive destinations, to further develop equipment and logistical arrangements for tourists. He also suggested good publicity of the company through various platforms to attract adventure seekers and hikers from different parts of the world.

The Governor stressed that as service providers, entrepreneurs must take full responsibility for the needs of customers.

Jimu Mele and Taba Ajum informed the governor about the activity “Emudu Seven Lakes Trekkers” and informed that their trekking session starts in July and ends in October.
